Free Park & Ride to Batoche

Take advantage of free daily shuttle service to Back to Batoche Days, departing from Saskatoon and Prince Albert. Simply park your car, hop on, and enjoy the ride. Learn more.

John Arcand Fiddle Showcase: Keeping the Fiddle Alive / Aen Kanawayhtamihk la meuzeuk di Vyayloon 

Sunday, July 23 from 1 pm to 2 pm on the Main Stage   

John Arcand is the “Master of the Métis Fiddle.” This year, his achievements are being honoured with a special fiddle tribute, where John’s original compositions of fiddle tunes will be performed by emerging and professional fiddle players. 

Apply to perform NOW!

Submit your application and a 2- to 3-minute audio clip of you playing a John Arcand fiddle tune to [email protected] on or before Monday, July 17th, 2023. Please include your name with the clip. 

Jigging contests for all ages!

Sunday, July 23 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the Main Stage

Cheer on the performers or enter to compete by bringing your completed registration form and $10 registration fee to the event. Prizes include:

Mini Michif – Participation prize
Junior – 1st: $600, 2nd: $500, 3rd: $300
Youth – 1st: $800, 2nd: $600, 3rd: $400
Intermediate – 1st: $1,000, 2nd: $600, 3rd: $400
Senior – 1st: $1,000, 2nd: $600, 3rd: $400
Professional – Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
