Elder Norman Fleury
“We were Michifs before Canada was a country, and we were Michif on the prairies when we were hunting buffalo. We were Michifs, and we flew that flag, and I’m proud to say in 1816 in the Battle of 7 Oaks when we start fighting for our rights. I’m very proud to be Michif.”
