About the Series

The Little Learners books are designed to help learners become familiar with words and phrases in languages spoken by Métis people, including Heritage Michif, Northern Michif, Michif French, Cree (TH and N dialects), and Dene (Dënesųłiné).

The books are suitable for learners of all ages, with a primary audience of Kindergarten to Grade 4. Each word or phrase is accompanied by an English translation to support learning and understanding.

Some books also include phonetic spellings to support pronunciation. Please note that phonetic spellings are intended as a learning aid and may vary among speakers.
